Friends of the Crystal River State Parks, Inc. is a not-for-profit [501 (C)(3)] Citizen Support Organization (CSO) which assists the Florida Park Service in achieving its mission: "To provide resource-based recreation while preserving, interpreting and restoring natural and cultural resources." Welcome to Our Parks Crystal River Preserve State Park maintains upland, freshwater and coastal habitats, for a natural experience, on 27,500 acres. Crystal River Archaeological State Park is an imposing pre-Columbian ceremonial mound complex overlooking the Crystal River. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1990. Yulee Sugar Mill Ruins Historic State Park is one of Florida's most evocative historic settings of the Civil War Era. It is the oldest standing historic structure in Citrus County and is partially restored. The mill is listed on the National Historic Register. Activities and Programs Supported
